The Department of Economic Development (DED) and Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme (SZHP) signed an agreement to facilitate faster and easier procedures for SZHP’s customers, enabling them to save time by hastening the speed of service delivery.
This initiative underscores the commitment of the two organizations to drive joint partnerships for achieving the common goals of enhancing customer service standards.
Mr Ali Ibrahim, Deputy Director General for Executive Affairs, DED, and Mr Mohammed Abdulaziz Jasim, Acting Director General of Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, signed the agreement, recently, at a ceremony held at DED headquarters in Deira.
The agreement is in line with the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, to enhance co-operations among federal bodies and ministries.
As per the agreement, DED will provide electronic connectivity to Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme to facilitate the process of reviewing and auditing information about the applications submitted for the programme.
Both the organizations will share activities, ideas, proposals and innovations appropriate to achieve the desired cooperation. They will also exchange experiences and research that serve the public interest at the federal and local level.
Commenting on the agreement, Mr Ali Ibrahim said: "We are honoured to collaborate with Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, which aims to achieve national family residential stability and provide a decent life for the UAE nationals. The agreement would further ease customer procedures and enhance the performance of the services provided by both DED and Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme. It marks our commitment to encourage the use of electronic transactions and keep up with modern technologies."
Mr Mohammed Abdulaziz said the agreement will ensure the delivery of value added services to customers through the electronic linkages, adding that SZHP is equipped with a special team for the initiative to begin the training in coordination with DED’s team.
Mr AbdulAziz Jassim praised the agreement with DED, which emphasizes joint government efforts to enhance the standard of living of the UAE nationals and residents. The agreement is a general framework for cooperation in the area of databases and information through coordination in technical, procedural and training areas.
