The Reem Investments Municipality League, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed, produced a frenzy of high scores during the fourth round of games held weekly at the Dome @ Rawdhat, Abu Dhabi.
Current leaders, Esnaad, were in top form with crushing victories over Abu Dhabi Municipality (7-0) and Tamouh (11-0), who also lost to the Municipality (14-0) in a difficult week.
HSBC enjoyed fine wins over Abu Dhabi Media Company (4-3), to leap frog them in to second place, and EMAL B (4-1), which sees the bank rise to second place. EMAL B also lost out (4-1) to Abu Dhabi Media Company who drop to third place but with two games in hand.
Abu Dhabi Terminals also ran in to form with victories over Abu Dhabi Finance (5-0) and EMAL A (3-0), EMAL A manage to defeat their financial counterparts (4-1), who are now rotted at the bottom of the league.
HSBC Captain Mohamed Sherif was full of praise of his team after a successful week:
“The team really dug in and produced hard fought victories over difficult opponents. We hope to keep pushing up the table and challenge for that all-important top spot in the league”.
The Reem Investments Municipality League is a competition aimed at government organisations and departments to help foster positive relations through sport, as well as promote a healthy lifestyle.
The organisers invite spectators to attend and enjoy the action each Sunday from 5:30pm until 7pm at the Dome.
