The Emirates Palace will host the State Audit Institution (SAI) 3rd conference for financial control institutions including Europe and Arab SAIs (Eurosai/Arabosai).
The conference, which will be held between 29-30 March, with more than 27 participants from Arab and Europe countries, will discuss the principles followed by the SAIs with regard to transparency, accountability and anti-fraud. These principles will form the conference’s main subjects in addition to presenting best practices in financial control and financial audit, as well as governance initiatives of some countries in public organizations.
Accountability and transparency in SAIs and supreme control institutions are considered main requirements that aim to enhance reliability, practice anti-fraud, improve governance practices and encourage accountability if constantly performed. The SAI is considered to be an active member in audit authorities at an international level through its participation in conferences regulated by INTOSAI, ASOSAI, The General Secretariat of GCC for financial audit and other SAIs. In addition, the SAI has permanent membership in The International Organization of Supreme Audit Institution (INTOSAI).
