Top Local Bands And Artists Scheduled To Rock ’Big Boys Toys’ Show In Abu Dhabi

Electrifying music experience in ’Music Lounge’ at Aloft Hotel in the capital

 

The UAE’s leading local bands and artists are slated to bring the house down at this year’s edition of ‘Big Boys Toys 2011’, the highly awaited luxury lifestyle exhibition, which will run from March 16 to 19, 2011 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Artaaj, the show’s organizers, have announced that the ‘Big Boys Toys Music Lounge’ will feature the UAE’s top bands and artists performing over three days of live music and entertainment. The ‘Music Lounge’ will be located at the ‘Terrace’ at the Aloft Hotel, Abu Dhabi and is free for all visitors coming to the show.

The scheduled performers and bands will be playing from 2pm to 2am during the four-day show. The ‘Music Lounge’ will offer a mix of eclectic rhythm and music - from emotive lyrics to heart pounding bass beats to soaring guitar riffs, perfectly complementing also a range of culinary delights. Artists scheduled to perform include heavy rock band, Nikotin; Ahlan! Best in Dubai 2010 finalists, Behold The Locus; Columbian artist Fatiniza; acoustic performer Gayathri Krishnan; jazz fusion pop band, The Brownies; vaudevillian swing and humorous band, Noush like Sploush; groovecore and pioneering Dubai rock group, Sandwash; and singer-songwriter, Tahnee.

“The ‘Music Lounge’ will offer our visitors the best mix of music and entertainment throughout the four day show," said Biju Jayaraaj, Chief Executive Officer, Artaaj. “We recognize that there is an abundance of musical talent in the UAE and we are proud to provide these artists with a unique platform and audience to showcase their talent. The exciting exhibitions and the live entertainment shows at this year’s ‘Big Boys Toys’ is guaranteed to provide our visitors with a weekend that they will not forget.”

Artaaj also revealed that all ‘Gold Class’ tickets to the show have all been sold out, with the Silver and VIP tickets also having brisk sales. Tickets are categorized under Single Entry SILVER, priced at AED 100 and Season Entry SILVER, priced at AED 200. The show opens on March 16 for limited VIP ticket holders. Priced at AED 1000, the VIP ticket is inclusive of entry for all entertainment features and shows, while Gold and Silver ticket holders have only entry to the event from March 17 to 19, 2011.
