The region’s most successful recruitment event, Tawdheef 2011, is set to showcase over 2500 job positions offered by top tier organisations and companies. The announcement was made by Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council and Turret Media as they put the final preparations in place for the fifth edition of the show, set to start on Tuesday (25th January) at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Commenting on the number of vacancies on offer, Chris Fountain, Director of Tawdheef and Managing Director of Turret Media said: “This result is a testament to Tawdheef’s constant efforts to proactively champion the facilitation of recruitment between the region’s leading employers and prospective candidates.”
“Finding out about the vacancies available within your ideal employer isn’t always easy, so our team has been working with exhibitors to collate data on the job positions that will be advertised during the event. Many of these jobs are now posted on the Tawdheef website, so I would urge visitors to take a look before they turn up at the event to help them short-list the employers they should be talking to,” Fountain added.
Tawdheef offers an unequalled opportunity for job-seekers to seek a successful career in entry-level, fresh graduate, mid-level and senior management positions. The show covers recruitment in sectors such as, banking and finance, oil and gas, hospitality, government service sector, military, telecommunications, and aviation.
According to Sawaeed Employment, one of the leading manpower outsourcing companies in the UAE, the event is important than ever as new regulations from the Ministry of Labour, mandate that UAE-based companies should have a workforce comprising 15 percent Emirati Nationals. In an endeavour to assist the private companies to reach that target, Sawaeed will offer 300 UAE National vacancies in various industries at Tawdheef 2011.
Abdul Rahman Al Tenaiji, CEO, Sawaeed Employment said, “Retention of UAE Nationals will be a challenge for private sector, who will be interested in generally studying the response of the Emirati job-seekers at Tawdheef 2011. This is where Sawaeed will be of great assistance to the private sector organizations. We will be hiring all kinds of personnel; and will collect candidates’ profile to meet the future demands of our clients.”
Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. (SEHA), the Emirate’s largest public healthcare provider, will be offering 50 internship placements at various hospitals and clinics across Abu Dhabi during the show, and a further 200 internship placements before the summer of 2011.
“Tawdheef has become a benchmark event for the recruitment and careers market and it is essential for SEHA to be involved every year,” commented Mohamed Hareb Al Qemzi, Human Resources Manager, SEHA. “It’s a great opportunity for us to stay on track with our Emiratization goals; and it gives us the opportunity to meet a host of young local professionals that are eligible for our internship programs across the region.”
In addition to the existing work placements, Etihad Airways will offer a wide range of trainee roles within the company for UAE nationals through training programs including; a cadet pilot scheme; a technical engineering development program; and a graduate management development program. Upon completion of the training, the UAE Nationals will be offered full-time positions in Etihad Airways.
In-line with the aspirations of the Economic Vision 2030 – Abu Dhabi Plan, Tawdheef 2011 aims at developing a qualified national workforce in the prospective knowledge-based industries.
The event will also host seminars on career development, human resources and scholarship led by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation.
The excellent array of sponsors includes, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and SEHA as Platinum Sponsors. The Gold Sponsors are Abu Dhabi Police, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, DU and Etisalat.
