The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) today announced a new application developed by ADEC staff to facilitate extensive analysis of public and private school data. The Mini Business Intelligence Solution (MBIS) is among the latest in a series of technological advances made by ADEC. It aims to help staff and principals access the key statistical information on education in Abu Dhabi as well as track and analyze the performance of schools, teachers and students. Followed by the fist ever statistical factbook published early this year, the MBIS is another step forward towards the planned launch of the full-scale enterprise-wide Business Intelligence solution at ADEC in the near future.
The new platform compiles historical data from the last three years to compare past performances with current benchmarks. The MBIS is the online source to access both public and private schools statistical data with ease and flexibility.
“This in-house developed application will help people inside and outside ADEC do their jobs more efficiently and give them a powerful tool at their fingertips whenever they are online,” said Alaaeldin A. Aly, Division Manager of ADEC’s Office of Strategic Affairs. “It is critical for our staff and education partners to get up to speed about this exciting new tool.”
ADEC will be conducting a series of workshops for principals and other partners for training and understanding of the MBIS features and capabilities. Last year, all Abu Dhabi school principles attended a workshop on the Geographic Information Solution (GIS) tools, which will serve as a model for MBIS education and adoption.
Details about the MBIS tools and upcoming workshops are available by calling +971 (2) 6150 000.
