Roger Melka, Co-Founder of Lighthouses of Peace declared that, “In view of the WikiLeaks indiscretions that revealed, for the first time, a serious political issue within Islam, we decided to erect the first Lighthouse of Peace Monument near the Strait of Hormuz, within view of the two largest branches of Islam, as a prelude to their sincere desire of Reconciliation and as a tribute to all Parties’ willingness to live with each other and the rest of the World, in Peace and Harmony in spite of all their differences and separate priorities.”
Jacques Duval, Co-Founder of Lighthouses of Peace added, ”We proposed recently the Construction around the World of a Network of Powerful Lighthouses, all in Structural Glass covered with Islamic Graphic Designs in the Traditional Islamic Colors, made up entirely of multi-facets multi-colored stained-glass. These Towers of Lights, higher than the Eiffel Tower, symbolize Islam’s Promise of Peace and a sincere desire for a friendly worldwide coexistence.”
Roger added, “We believe that these Lighthouses shall be a living Covenant to a united Islam offering an open hand to Reconciliation.” Roger added, “Like Rainbows are generally perceived as a divine promise of no more floods, these Lighthouses shall equally be perceived, by everyone, as Islam’s Solemn Promise of its Peaceful Intentions and desire of a Friendly and Harmonious Co-Existence”.
Jacques added that,”After working 8 years on the Project and financing it with our own funds, we are now ready to start its realization, using our exclusive stained Glass technology and know-how.”
Roger concluded, “We appeal to all the News Media of the World, urging them to publish and republish our Message of Hope around the World until true Peace is achieved not only within Islam itself but with the rest of the World too.”
