Al Majid Motors Co. - the sole distributor of Kia Motors in the UAE, will be showcasing its latest range of cars at this year’s Abu Dhabi International Motorshow, to be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 7 – 11 December 2010.
Speaking about the upcoming show, Mohammed Khader, the General Manager at Al Majid Motors- Kia said: “We always look forward to taking part in the Abu Dhabi International Motorshow and this year is no exception. We’re excited about showcasing some of Kia’s more popular models, including the all-new Optima, Sportage, Cadenza and Sorento, at our state-of-the–art exhibition stand. These models are designed by Kia’s world renowned Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer. We’re positive that our cars and exhibition stand are going to be the show’s star attractions and we can’t wait to see the visitor’s reactions.”
Kia’s popular 2011 Sportage features a peppy four-cylinder engine and spacious interiors, boasting standard features that are usually only found in much more expensive SUVs. The car’s angular styling and safety features have had reviewers raving about the car’s high-tech family-car appeal.
The completely redesigned Kia Optima made its world debut at the 2010 New York Auto Show and features an elegant yet sporty profile designed by Peter Schreyer. The car uses the new corporate grille, known as the Tiger Nose, which was also designed by Schreyer. The all-new Optima features Kia’s latest Theta 2 2.4L 4- cylinder engine that’s powered either by a six-speed automatic transmission, or a six-speed manual transmission.
Kia’s 2011 Cadenza (known as the K7) luxury sport sedan is inspired by the KND-5 concept car revealed last April at the Seoul Motor Show. The concept featured a Tiger Nose grille, attractive led rear combo lights and dual muffler design integrated into the Cadenza’s rear bumper. The car is powered by a 3.5 engine with outputs ranging 290 HP. All models feature front-wheel drive as well as a six-speed transmission.
The Kia Sorento’s dimensions and seating for seven makes it look like a mid-size SUV, while its standard four-cylinder engine and excellent price says compact SUV. The car’s available engines include a 172 HP 2.4-litre inline-4 and a 273 HP 3.5-litre V6, both attached to a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. The stylish car is optionally equipped with a six, eight or 10 speaker audio system with MP3 and iPod connectivity, plus a built-in or external amplifier. It also features keyless entry, parking sensors, cloth or leather upholstery, 17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels, ABS and two airbags.
