Tawam Hospital, in affiliation with John Hopkins Medicine, today announced its working hours for the period of the Eid Al Adha holiday 2010. Full organizational operations will resume on Sunday 21st of November.
While some services have shorter working hours, The Neima Primary Healthcare Clinic will operate regular working hours, open from Saturday to Thursday 8AM to 12AM and 4PM to 12AM on Fridays. Al Jahli Primary Healthcare Clinic will also operate regular hours, from 8AM to 11:30PM everyday.
Tawam Hospital’s Dental Center will only accept emergency, appointment and walk-in patients from Monday 15th November until Thursday, 18th November. The center is closed on Friday’s and Saturday’s as usual.
The emergency department at Al Wagan Hospital will be fully operational 24 hours a day as usual and the General Practioner (GP) Clinic will open from 8AM to 12AM. The Internal Medicine and the Pediatric Departments will only operate from 9AM to 1PM on Sunday the 14th of November.
Regarding Obstetrics Services, emergency cases will be handled by the Emergency Department and Labor and Delivery Departments; a Poly Clinic Program will not be available.
For the Poly Clinic, specialty services are only available through on-call and referrals from Primary Healthcare Clinic’s or the Emergency Department. Patients needing emergency obstetric services will be managed by Tawam Emergency and Labour and Delivery Departments as needed.
Pediatric Oncology services and clinics will be operating on the 14th, 15, and 18th of November only. However, Adult Oncology services will only be available on the 14th and 15th of November.
Patients undergoing Radiation Therapy at the Radiation Oncology Department will be notified individually of alternative treatment times by the department’s staff. Patients in need of dialysis will also be notified, department staff will re-schedule appointments at the patient’s convenience.
All other services at Tawam Hospital, not listed above, are closed until Sunday, 21st, November, 2010.
