Abu Dhabi Corniche Pulses To Beat Of Yasalam 2010
(11 November 2010)
Beats on the Beach opening night draws over 10,000 fans for the first night’s star-studded line-up

Last night, over 10,000 fans gathered across the sands of Abu Dhabi Corniche to celebrate the opening of the much-anticipated Beats on the Beach concerts, four nights of free entertainment along the beach of Abu Dhabi featuring a melting pot of local and internationals Arab and Western artists.

Last night’s artists included Clarita de Quiroz, Melissa, Kelly Rowland, Chipmunk and Ahmed El Sherif; as well as the local performers Mighty 4 and Malika, all hosted by local DJ Dave Crane.

John Lickrish, Managing Director of FLASH Entertainment, commented,
“The atmosphere at Beats on the Beach is fantastic - a great opportunity for the entire community of Abu Dhabi to join together in a free celebration of music as the whole city gears up for F1TM. With a different and varied lineup of incredible local and international talent every evening from now until Saturday night - we certainly hope everyone is able to come out and take part in the fun.”

Tunisian singer, Ahmad Al Sherif, who closed the bill last night, added;
"Being here on the opening night of Beats on the Beach was fantastic. As it’s a free concert you get a huge variety of people in the crowd and some real fans all coming together enjoying the music - I’ve loved playing in Abu Dhabi tonight as part of Yasalam 2010."

The concerts are scheduled to take place every evening at 7:15pm on Al Sahil Beach, with a different dazzling line up of artists scheduled for each night. All of the concerts are completely free of charge, with park and ride services available along the beach.
