In May this year, The Yas Hotel was unanimously voted as ‘Middle East’s Leading New Hotel’ at the World Travel Awards held in Dubai.

As a result of the awards, The Yas Hotel is delighted to announce that it has now been nominated to compete as the World’s Leading New Hotel and World’s Leading Landmark Hotel. This nomination positions The Yas Hotel alongside the very best New Hotel’s in the world, including:

· Armani Hotel Burj, Dubai
· Borgo Egnazia, Italy
· Capella Pedregal, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
· Hotel Missoni Edinburgh, Scotland
· The PuLi Hotel & Spa, China
· Viceroy Anguilla Hotel, Anguilla
· W Santiago, Chile

The overall winners will now compete against the crème de la crème throughout the world at World Travel Awards Grand Final which will take place in London (UK) in November, immediately before World Travel Market.
Abu Dhabi and Etihad Airways also feature prominently amongst the Nominees, with Yas Island nominated for Leading Tourism Development Project.

The World Travel Awards, now in its 17th year and the global travel and tourism industry equivalent of the ‘Oscars’, is helping to drive up standards of customer service and business excellence throughout the world.

On 19th April, The Yas Hotel won the award in Best Commercial, Office, Retail Built Development at the Cityscape Awards - Real Estate, MENA Gala Dinner in Abu Dhabi.
