12% Increase In Visitors At Bawadi Mall During Ramadan
(19 September 2010)
Special campaign in association with ADNIC, Arabian ambience and mobile theatre attracted huge crowds.

More than 900,000 visitors visited Bawadi Mall during Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr, an increase of 12 percent over the same period last year.

Khalid Shraim, Marketing Manager, Bawadi Mall, said the increase was due to the promotional campaign conducted jointly with Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC), in addition to the Arabian ambience provided throughout the holy month and the special activities organised during Eid Al Fitr for kids through a mobile theatre considered the biggest in the Middle East.

“The joint campaign which allowed shoppers a chance to win cash discount vouchers from ADNIC to insure their motor vehicle during the month of Ramadan was the contributor to the success of our activities during Ramadan,” said Shraim.

This promotion reflected Bawadi Mall’s strategy to partner with prominent brands and organizations to provide shoppers with exciting and rewarding offers. The 30-day promotional campaign, which ran from the first day of Ramadan, allowed Bawadi Mall shoppers spending AED 400 at any of its outlets to win a cash voucher worth AED 200 from ADNIC for a comprehensive insurance policy for their motor vehicle.

Moreover, throughout the month of Ramadan, the Tarabeesh troop from Aleppo gave daily religious performances.
Shraim added: “Due to the huge number of visitors to the mall, Abu Dhabi TV chose Bawadi Mall to record episodes of the “Soual Al Tayyer” programme, in which ten awards of AED 2,000 each were given away day, sponsored by different stores in the mall.

Eid Al Fitr cartoon shows were screened at “Katakeet” mobile theatre, the largest mobile theater in the Middle East, which offered fabulous time to kids and families from all over the Middle East.

Bawadi Mall, developed by Nael & Bin Harmal Inv. Co. L.L.C., houses a mix of international as well as regional retail brands of fashion, food, jewellery and much more, all in a bright, spacious, and inviting environment, distinguished by a wide curved vaulted skylight that soars above the main corridor and its main three spacious courts.

New brands have made their debut in Al Ain city through Bawadi Mall, such as Zara, Mango, MAX, Marks & Spencer, Kotton, New look, H&M, ACE, Toys “R” US, Adidas, Guess, Nokia, BHS, Danube BUILDMART and Magrudy’s amongst others. The mall hosts more than 380 retail outlets, including international names over an area of 140,000 sq meter and it is only five minutes away of Al Ain City.

Bawadi Mall offers round the year entertainment programs including the 10,000 sq. m. “Family Entertainment Center” featuring a varied mix of fun, ranging from the “Roller Coaster” to the “Fun Ski Village”, amongst many other attractions have contributed in attracting this big number of visitors to the mall. Not to mention the eight movie theatres including Grand Class Hall, a bowling alley, a distinctively rich food-court and several casual dining alternatives offering delicious varieties of cuisines.
