The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) is organising the third exhibition for Fanaan art group at the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi from September 21 to October 6.
The show titled "Up Close" will display the artworks of Abu Dhabi based artist and holds a serial of workshops by the artist throughout the show.
Fanaan is a group of Abu Dhabi based artists established in 2008 with the purpose of bringing together and cultivating an artist community in the capital. Their primary goal is to create a channel for artists of any nationality and media to come together, share ideas, develop and exhibit work.
Abdullah Al Ameri, Director of Arts and Culture Department at ADACH said "the exhibition is a coronation of ADACH efforts to create public interest in arts in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as well as it is a rich artistic addition to the authorities experience based on a long term strategy to bring world arts to Abu Dhabi as a hub for world culture and arts" "ADACH is working to complete an Emirati platform with Arab and international dimensions to enrich the fine art experience in UAE. Contemporary arts with its various schools and trends are finding home in Abu Dhabi" he added.
