Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, is pleased to be hosting the third Abu Dhabi Dragon Boat Festival on 8th and 9th October 2010, in association with the Adrenaline Sports Live Festival, presented by Rani.

As the main sponsor of the Dragon Boat Festival since its inception in 2008, Shangri-La Hotel, Abu Dhabi hosts corporate teams for training days at the hotel’s beach every year and entered its own teams in to the competition. This year, the Shangri-La and Traders Dragons team is a culmination of colleagues from both Shangri-La Hotel and Traders Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

As in previous years, the hotel will host the festival on the 1km stretch of beachfront that overlooks Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The festival will then end with an award ceremony and celebratory barbeque party on Traders Hotel beach.

Dragon Boating is a thrilling water sport full of adrenaline, sportsmanship, strategy and technique. It is also a sport that is about positive team spirit, being healthy, making friends and having fun. Companies are encouraged to enter their corporate teams for this year’s festival early, due to the enormous popularity of this growing sport.
