More than 70 players battled it out at the inaugural Tokyo Corporate Masters last week, to win the prestigious prize of representing Japan in the World Final held at Yas Links Golf Course later this year.

The par 72 and 6,047 yard course provided the field with challenging playing conditions. Mr. Masao Saotome, President of MELCO Travel Company, and his team partner, Mr. Fumio Suzuki, Executive Director of Mitsubishi Electric Logistics Corporation, fought off fierce competition to take home first prize.
The Tokyo tournament, held at the Eagle Lakes Golf Course, Japan, was the fifth in the current Corporate Masters series.

Etihad Airways, the official airline of the Corporate Masters series, was delighted with the success of the inaugural Tokyo event. Joost den Hartog, Regional General Manager, Etihad Airways said: “The Corporate Masters attracts some of the world’s leading Chief Executives, Entrepreneurs and Senior Corporate Executives and the tournament in Japan proved no different.

The Corporate Masters is one of the leading corporate golf networking series worldwide. Participation is strictly by invitation, where only genuine business leaders can play, when invited by a Sponsor or The Tournament Committee.

The 2010 Corporate Masters qualifying events include Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Chicago, Doha, Dubai, Dublin, London, Manchester, Mumbai, Munich, Singapore and various other venues worldwide prior to the World Final at the Yas Links Golf Course, Abu Dhabi.
