Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Trade Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh stressed the great development witnessed in the UAE’s relations with Russia over the past years in various fields.
Delivering a speech at the inaugural session of the Russian-Arab Business Council meeting which opened in Moscow today Al Saleh also explained that trade relations between the UAE and Russia has experienced significant growth during the past years and volume of non-oil trade between the two countries last year stood at 727 million dollars.
The program of the Session comprises a plenary session that will be attended by heads of Russian and Arab government bodies, ministries, and institutions, chairmen of Chambers of Trade, presidents of largest companies, and business elite from Russia and the Arab world. The participants will make presentations of their companies and projects and discuss highlights of bilateral and international cooperation during "round-table" panel discussions.
Since its establishment, the Russian-Arab Business Council (RABC) has encouraged significant progress in bringing the Russian-Arab trade and economic relations to their current active stage. RABC has organized multiple business forums, meetings and conferences, initiated the establishment of more than 15 bilateral business councils, gathered and distributed business information, promoted the establishment of important business ties between representatives of business circles.
