The Health Authority - Abu Dhabi, the regulatory body of the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, announced today the opening of its new customer service counters at Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) and Marina Mall - Abu Dhabi.

The new counters aim to expand HAAD’s outreach to its customers in the capital and to enhance its services.

Dr. Ali Obaid Al Ali, Director of Health Regulation Division at HAAD, said: "Reaching all our customers, irrespective of where they live, work or spend their leisure time, is one of our highest priorities. To achieve this, HAAD worked closely with ADCCI and Marina Mall to establish the customer service counters and to take a step closer to its customers.

The HAAD counters will offer a wide range of services to investors, organizations and the public including: New healthcare facility licensing or relicensing Renewal of healthcare facility license Changing ownership of a healthcare facility Changing type of healthcare facility Changing name of healthcare facility Changing location of healthcare facility Temporary closure of a healthcare facility Cancellation of healthcare facility license Registration of healthcare facility insurance Cancellation of healthcare facility insurance Request for an ambulance licensure Issuing birth certificate (new, true copy, additional copy) Issuing age estimation certificates for UAE Nationals.

Receive documents related to licensing payers, brokers and TPAs Receive payments from violators Receive complaints related to health insurance Certification of sick leave reports Adeeb Al Zaabi, Manager Health Facilities Licensing at HAAD said: "The HAAD customer service counters will offer a wide range of services to investors, companies and the public, and is set to expand its current services in the near future. HAAD has recently opened its Al Ain office and is currently working on establishing the western region office; in addition it is currently exploring the possibilities for establishing more customer service counters and offices in major business districts." HAAD’s customer service counter at ADCCI will operate from 8 AM- 2.30 PM, Sunday to Thursday.
