Arabian Construction Week 2010 Draws Over 2,000 Visitors On Opening Day
(25 May 2010)
Event Brings Together Over 200 Major Companies for Four Exhibitions and Two Summits Under One Roof

Arabian Construction Week, the region’s international exhibition incorporating four dedicated vertical trade exhibitions and two regional summits on sustainability, innovation and infrastructure, has attracted over 2,000 visitors on the opening day of the event.

The three-day event covering over 8,000 sq metre area at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) features the Green Building Middle East, Future-Build Middle East, Building Machinery Middle East and Civil Engineering Middle East exhibitions. In addition, two regional summits – Arabian World Construction Summit (AWCS) and the Green Building Middle East Summit and Expo – are headlining ACW 2010.

The Green Building Middle East at the Arabian Construction Week 2010 is showcasing premium sustainable construction products, while Future-Build Middle East is serving as the first dedicated single-sourcing platform for latest technology and innovative construction projects.

Civil Engineering Middle East, meanwhile, is showcasing the latest products and solutions for major infrastructure and transport projects that are rapidly transforming the Middle East landscape. Building Machinery Middle East has brought together major industry brands and dealers to display cranes, excavators, heavy vehicles, machine tools, concrete, as well as waste and recycling equipment.

The Arabian World Construction Summit (AWCS) as well as the Green Building Middle East Summit are witnessing international spokespersons analysing integral issues that currently face the region’s construction industry.

In addition to the conference programme, the Arabian Construction Week acts as a pre-tender sourcing forum for the region’s existing and potential construction and infrastructure projects. It also aims to work towards a better built environment for the cities of today and the future.

Shell Lubricants and the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipal Affairs are the headline sponsors of Arabian Construction Week 2010 that also has Framecad, Green Precast Systems and Technologies LLC, and Commodore Steel Industries LLC as the gold sponsors. RMD Kwikform Middle East, Doka International and Peri LLC are participating as the silver sponsors while Etihad Airways is the official airline sponsor.

Organised by MECOM Forums/Clarion Events in partnership with MEED, Arabian Construction Week 2010 is proving to be a perfect platform for companies to display a full range of green building solutions as well as innovative engineering products and services to thousands of buyers from across the Middle East and neighbouring regions.
