As part of their joint effort to provide a safe working environment for all employees, ADMA-OPCO and ADGAS organized today a large-scale evacuation exercise at their joint Headquarters.
The drill, which is conducted every two years, took place in coordination with the Civil Defence and Abu Dhabi Police. It was aimed at testing the employees’ as well as the company’s readiness for a sudden evacuation and enhancing skills to face any potential hazard.
The evacuation of 1,300 employees occupying 21 floors is not an easy task. But, previous exercise and good planning helped finish the drill successfully in about 35 minutes.
According to the scenario, the alarm fire went off at 8:35am while the joint ADMA-ADGAS committee coordinators and observers were deployed around the location. The drill was confidential and looked as a real-time emergency.
A debriefing was held afterwards to evaluate the outcome of the exercise and review lessons learned.
