ADMA-OPCO Awards Fluor Offshore Feed Contracts

ADMA-OPCO has awarded US Fluor Enterprises Corporation two front-end engineering and design (FEED) contracts for the Umm Lulu Full Field Development (UL FFD) project Phase II, and the SATAH AL RAZBOOT (SARB) Full Field Development project.

The signing ceremony was held at ADMA-OPCO HQ, Abu Dhabi, on April 29th, and attended by ADMA-OPCO General Manager Ali Rashid Al Jarwan, Assistant General Manager (Projects-Engineering) Ali Ghanim Bin Hamoodah, and Assistant General Manager (Administrative Services) Ali Saeed Al-Mazroui. Also attending was a number of Fluor officials, including Mr. Luis Martinez, Senior Vice President & General Manager, EAME (Europe, Africa & Middle East) Region, Mr. Frank Van Ginhoven, Senior Vice President, Upstream Business Line, Mr. Jose Luis M. Bustamante, Vice President & General Manager, MENA (Middle East North Africa) Region, and Mr. Scott Power, Senior Director, Fluor Offshore Solutions.

"This is an especially important day in the history of ADMA-OPCO as the company starts a new stage of production development from the New Fields," commented Mr. Al Jarwan.

He said the ongoing business relationship with Fluor is demonstrated by the successful FEED for the Integrated Gas Development Habshan Platform at Umm Shaif Super Complex.

Commenting on the signing, Peter Oosterveer, president of Fluor’s Energy & Chemicals Group, hailed the new channels of cooperation between his company and ADMA-OPCO, noting that the new development project is "important for the economic growth and development of Abu Dhabi.

Fluor’s scope of work includes the design of offshore facilities, wellhead towers, and subsea in-field pipelines, the onshore scope including receiving, processing, storage and support facilities and the supporting utilities and infrastructure in Zirku Island.

The project is underway both in Fluor’s Houston, Texas, and Abu Dhabi with up to 180 professionals expected to contribute.
The overall field development of Umm Lulu Field will be achieved in two phases. During Phase-1, the spare capacity of Umm Al Dalkh existing facilities will be utilized until the start-up of FFD production. Phase-1 and Phase-2 will be integrated and the produced oil will be transferred to Zirku Island via new 20" MOL for further processing, storage and export.
