As the animals at the Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort (AWPR) adjust to their summer routines, the park launches ‘Wild Nights’ from 1 May thru 30 September. Open from 4pm to12 midnight Saturdays through Thursdays and 10am to 12 midnight on Fridays, Wild Nights creates a fun and exciting night time experience for visitors.
The park has a range of family activities and entertainment planned for the summer months. Crocodiles, penguins, and the animals in the Arabian and mixed Africa exhibits are fed in the twilight hours. The Cat House, lit for the first time, presents lion, tiger, puma, jaguar, and cougar. Special effects create a spooky atmosphere for the prehistoric creatures of the Dinosaur Trail as they emerge roaring from the swamp-like fog. The traditional bird show and the magnificent white lions are also on offer.
Dr. Fred Launay, Chief Executive Officer of AWPR said: “AWPR is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the UAE, and we are always looking at new and unique ways to ensure an enjoyable experience for all visitors to the park.”
“With many never-before-exhibited animals, several of which are endangered, as well as the exciting Dinosaur Trail and other activities, spending time at the park is one of the most enjoyable ways to enjoy a summer evening”, said Dr. Launay.
Later timings during the summer months have proven to be very popular among AWPR’s visitors. Last year, the park received over 100,000 visitors between June and mid September.
