Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC) has unveiled plans for new headquarters in twofour54’s Mena Zayed campus, Abu Dhabi’s future media precinct.
As the region’s fastest-growing media company, ADMC is dedicated to leading the development of the media industry in the region by cultivating local content and talent, and managing market-leading brands that inform, educate and entertain across all platforms. The company’s new headquarters will support these aims by providing an environment which will optimize integration, cooperation and creativity among ADMC’s TV, radio, print and digital media platforms.
Created with flexibility in mind, the offices and technical spaces in the new building have been designed to bring together ADMC’s media professionals and customers in a way that showcases the company’s content generation. The 14-studio broadcast centre will provide passing-by general public with an opportunity to take a ’sneak peak’ into their favorite programmes, at both filming and pre-/post production stages, while being able to interact with content through digital walls scattered across the development. The publication tower will host a state-of-the-art news center integrated with TV news production which will allow ADMC’s outlets to leverage news and content across multiple distribution platforms simultaneously.
"We are proud to join the media precinct, a great representation of Abu Dhabi’s commitment to deliver on the Emirate’s 2030 economic vision,” said HE Mohamed Khalaf Al-Mazrouei, Chairman of ADMC. “ADMC is part of the fabric of the Abu Dhabi community, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our new headquarters will position us well to further develop the local media industry and continue delivering the highest-quality Arab content to our consumers in the region.”
Ed Borgerding, CEO of ADMC commented: “Our new headquarters will offer ADMC employees a creative, collaborative environment with state-of-the-art media facilities. Features such as integrated newsrooms and flexible studio spaces will ensure we are collaborating across the company and distributing our quality content across our various platforms.”
Working in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council, ADMC’s new headquarters will be environmentally-friendly and fully compliant with Estidama building guidelines. A number of measures will be taken to reduce the building’s carbon emissions, while ensuring high air and water quality.
Abdul Hadi Al Sheikh, Executive Director of Property Development at ADMC, adds: "Much work has been put into the designs of our new headquarters to ensure that we have a building that is not only a positive environment for our employees, but one that encourages interaction both internally among our different business units and with our customers too. We are confident that this exciting future space will deliver on those objectives."
ADMC is working with some of the world’s leading architectural and planning talents to create its new headquarters. Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, a leading international practice headquartered in New York, with offices in London, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul and Abu Dhabi, has been appointed as the lead consultant and design architect for the project. Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates has led a number of media projects, including ABC’s World Headquarters in New York, ABC’s Washington News Bureau in Washington D.C., and HBO Headquarters in New York.
