Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC) confirmed today that Premier League TV, the newly launched official 24/7 channel from the English Premier League (EPL), will be part of its Premier League subscription package when the new season kicks off in August. The channel, available in HD, produced in English and broadcast from London, is designed to provide football fans in the region with an enhanced viewing experience for the most watched football league in the world. Earlier this year, ADMC announced it acquired the rights to three seasons of the EPL, starting with 2010/2011.

Premier League TV will be dedicated to covering Premier League LIVE game action throughout the year, giving fans access to all 380 matches. The core programming for the channel will be driven by the Live games throughout the season, with a possibility of up to six games per weekend. There will be new programming around the Live and delayed games, with pre and post match studio shows, expert analysis and international phone-ins. In addition, the channel will feature classic matches from the Premier League’s extensive archive, daily football news bulletins and breaking news crawlers enabling viewers of the channel on Abu Dhabi Al Riyadiya to stay right up to date with all the latest news and developments.

Last month, ADMC announced its distribution strategy for the English Premier League 2010/2011 season which includes several subscription platforms, through which audiences in the MENA region will be able to choose how they want to watch their favorite football clubs and players. Kicking off in mid-August, live Premier League games will be shown exclusively on Abu Dhabi Al Riyadiya subscription channels, which can be accessed through a high-definition set-top box, IPTV (Internet Protocol Television), and, in another first for the region, streaming via broadband Internet.
