Being held from 2 - 7 March 2010 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the ADIBF is organised by KITAB, a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and the Frankfurt Book Fair (one of the most successful publishing industry fairs worldwide. With over 823 exhibitors from 63 countries spread over four halls (19,000 sqm gross) of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the book fair has grown substantially since last year.

Sheikh Abdullah toured various stands including the Sheikh Zayed Book Award stand, Poetry Academy and Kalima stand, a bold, non-pro?t initiative funded by Abu Dhabi Authority for Heritage and Culture (ADACH) dedicated to funding the translation, publication and distribution of high quality works of classic and contemporary writing from other languages into Arabic.

Sheikh Abdullah attended part of a cultural evening organised by the Readers’ Club of the UNESCO and then proceeded to the Show Kitchen where he sampled delicious delights prepared by a talented and diverse group of international star chefs.

Sheikh Abdullah was accompanied by Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazrouie, Director of ADACH, and Juma Al Qubaisi, Director of ADIBF.
