Royal Jet - the international luxury executive flight services company based in Abu Dhabi and chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan – has given its full backing to a number of its people who have been encouraged to undertake a three month course in certified management.
The Certified Manager Programme, which is accredited by the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM), develops and enhances general management skills and prepares individuals to take the CM management certification exams. Those who successfully complete the CM exams achieve certification - a prestigious credential that recognises competency and professionalism of managers worldwide in all fields.
Fifteen Royal Jet managers have been nominated for the course, which includes 12 days of lectures over the 12-week period. Group classes are arranged and facilitated by Sun Learning systems in the UAE and training for the exams is accomplished through lecture-based self-study.
Amna Saif Al Mansouri - Vice President of Royal Jet’s Human Resources and Corporate Support Department – explained that the course will help develop the managerial skills of its staff. "Royal Jet is once again showing its commitment to the development of its people by introducing this CPM course. It is not a short 2- or 3-day course, but is certificate based and covers a number of core competencies, such as Management Fundamentals, Planning, Organising and Strategising, Leadership Principles, and Quality and Financial Management.
"Certification has long been a mark of competency and credibility," she continued, "and successful managers the world over have used certification in their respective fields to distinguish them from their colleagues. By encouraging our people in this way, we hope it will add to their overall skills set and motivate them further in their careers."
The ICPM is the world’s largest certifying organisation for the management profession, having certified over 10,000 managers worldwide for over 30 years. Last year some 200 managers across the UAE completed their CM training.
