As a result from the recent Re-launch of Abu Dhabi City Golf Club, Club representatives handed over a cheque to Unicef today.
Club Manager Rhian Lobo and Club Captain Saleh Al Ameri were joined by Bob Churchhouse in the Cheque Handover, who had kindly initiated an unexpected auction during the December 10th Events’ Raffle Draw, and enabled the contribution therewith to be more than tripled.
Captain Saleh and Rhian Lobo were delighted to hand over AED 15,450 to Mrs. Lara Hussein in today’s’ ceremony, which represented the first more significant charity supports for Abu Dhabi City Golf Club.
The Club Management is proud to be able to contribute to a good case, and further charity efforts will follow throughout the year.
“Our company presents a fairly slim structure and our resources in terms of charity are limited”, says Lobo.
“Becoming an active part in charity support is important for us, to show, that we are part of the community, within our means.” Saleh Al Ameri added: “We are delighted that we were given the chance to contribute to the good cause by supporting Unicef with this amount.”
The event where the money was raised was the Re-Launch of the long-standing Abu Dhabi institution, with a new name and an upgraded product.
Abu Dhabi City Golf Club’s 9-hole Golf Course and Golf Academy underlines its efforts to bring a challenging game but affordable golf to the UAE’s growing golfing community.
