UAE Permanent Representative at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Hamad Ali al-Kaabi has announced that UAE will host the upcoming annual conference of The Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism in Abu Dhabi in June 2010.
The announcement was made by Al Kaabi during his participation in the meeting of the Global Initiative in Budapest.
He said in his speech before the meeting that UAE had exerted great efforts in combating nuclear terrorism and is now fully prepared to counter any expected terroristic actions and that was obviously shown in the governmental policies.
He added that UAE was supporting the international efforts in facing the menace through presenting an innovative model to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
