Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi will host on January 23, the Second Emirates International Cycling Cup with the participation of more than 114 cyclists from 19 countries.
The 125 km long compitation will take place at Abu Dhabi Corniche is organized by UAE Cycling Federation in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
During a press conference Sheikh Faisal Humaid Al-Qasimi, Chairman of UAE Cycling Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee has stated that the race will commence at 11 am and is culminate at around 2 pm.
He expressed his gratitude to HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his patronage for this international event and also thanked media for its role in supporting the tournament.
He pointed out that the selection of the Organizing Committee for the elite group of 18 teams from Europe, Asia and Africa to ensure a competitive level that can benefit UAE national team which is gearing up for the Asian championships to be hosted by the UAE in April in Sharjah.
