Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) branch in Abu Dhabi International Airport will now be operational 24-hours and seven days a week, it was announced today.
ADIB received approval for allowing the branch to be operational 24X7 from the UAE Central Bank and from the UAE Ministry of Interior.
The branch is catering to the rapidly growing international traffic that passes through the airport by providing round the clock foreign exchange and other banking services mainly to international travelers.
It also offers customers a large portfolio of Shari’a compliant products for individuals and businesses. UAE Nationals are the majority staff at the branch in keeping with the bank’s aim to develop Emirati talent.
ADIB has continued the rapid expansion of its retail network in the UAE by opening 10 new branches in 2009, taking the total number of its branches to 50.
Sameh Al-Awadallah, Head of Branches at ADIB, said: "This 24X7 banking initiative is an innovation worthy of being listed in the milestones of banking in the UAE. I congratulate our colleagues who worked tirelessly to make the branch’ 24x7 operations confirm to the stringent standards set by the Ministry of Interior and the UAE Central Bank. I also thank these two respected government entities for allowing our out-of-the-box idea to reach fruition." "Abu Dhabi airport is fast becoming a preferred entry and exit point for the UAE and this branch is keeping with our strategy of bringing our products and services closer to our customers." he concluded.
