A delegation from the Al Ain Municipality yesterday visited the offices of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development in Dubai, where they were received by senior officials and briefed about the activities of the Ministry and the workings of its various departments.
The Al Ain delegation which was led by Mariam Hamdan Al Olwi, Deputy Director of Community Relations, also included Fatima Al Amri, Noura Rashid Al Ketbi and Adel Ismail Al Hosny from the Department of Community Relations, was briefed in detail about the workings of the ministry’s various departments, Cultural Centres and the Government Communications Department. During the discussions they explored ways to increase cooperation between various departments and institutions and stressed the importance of exchanging ideas to promote greater efficiency.
The delegation was also shown the documentary film ‘Afaq’, produced by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, which will be broadcast through the media, shown in airlines and other places of tourist interest in order to raise awareness about the UAE’s heritage and culture.
