H. E. Abdulla Ahmed Al Mandous, Executive Director of the National Centre of Meteorology ’&’ Seismology, stressed the role of the centre in unifying source of weather forecast and seismology information.
Al Mandous added that the centre also swaps data and information at regional and international levels to pace with the progress in this respect, adding that the centre prepares historical studies about weather to early forecast floods and hurricanes, drought and issue pre- warnings.
Staff Brigadier Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Director General of the Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA), said the CNIA implements the sustained vision of Abu Dhabi government to prepare for emergencies and crises, being a public authority charged with providing security and protection to the critical national infrastructure.
He added that the participation of the CNIA at 2010 conference will focus on expertise exchange with competent authorities in this respect.
