ALHOSN University, an Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality, value-based education, recently held two separate employee training sessions on ‘Time & Self Management Training’ at the Conference Room of the university’s Men’s Campus.
The two-day course is part of ALHOSN’s commitment to providing continuous training and development to its workforce to improve their skills and competence. Trainees were taught how to identify and overcome work-related and personal time wasters and understand and prioritize their goals in life and work. They were introduced to practical tools and important guidelines to help them use their time wisely and trained on how to develop a more proactive approach to work.

At the same time, we want our training courses to be opportunities for self-growth as well, which is why we incorporate elements of personal development into our sessions. A few months ago, ALHOSN conducted a highly successful two-day training on Level 1 Professional Business Writing Letter which taught participants how to prepare business letters and emails as well as minutes of meetings. The University is exploring other training topics which can help employees improve their quality of life, prospects for professional advancement, and the skills and attitudes necessary to perform their jobs optimally.
ALHOSN University opened in 2005 and currently offers 11 undergraduate and 7 graduate programs in three faculties, all accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Its City Campus includes the Men’s Campus, the Women’s Campus, Library Building, Lectures Building, the Engineering Labs Building and a newly-built Studio Building. The University has been implementing key initiatives such as the recent upgrade of its online portal and website to enhance its status as a center of educational innovation. ALHOSN supports community and social growth through scholarships, the education of students with special needs and the encouragement of female participation in scientific and engineering courses.
