The return to nature and healing through water, nutrition, meditation and energy therapy are the latest medical solutions proposed by a range of doctors and medical professors around the Arab world. This week in a unique episode of ‘Nashwa,’ viewers get an inside look at the world of alternative and traditional medicine.
‘Nashwa’ is aired on Dubai TV every Monday at 22:30 and repeated every Saturday at 18:00.
Dr. Albert Tanyous, an Arab professor living in France, talks of his research in healing many diseases through a type of hypnotherapy, which uses electrical impulses in the body to modify a subject’s behaviour, emotional feelings, attitudes and illnesses. Dr. Tanyous also discusses his trials in treating the late Egyptian composer Mohammed Abdelwahab with this method and his adventures with the writer Anees Mansour who was researching his point-of-view in healing through hypnotherapy.
Also on ‘Nashwa’ is professor Nada Haidar who discusses the benefits of meditation in healing stress, high blood pressure and diabetes in addition to improving memory and other functions of the brain. Dr. Sahar Badawi, an expert in healing through conventional nutrition, talks of the effects of nutrition on healing many diseases and the positive effects of goat’s milk on enhancing the body’s immune system and preventing diseases while Dr. Magdi Nazih talks of healing with water, a technique used in India for 6,000 years.
Nashwa concludes the show by welcoming members of the Friends of the Environment Campaign in Dubai whose aim is to recycle paper waste to save energy and money and protect the environment.
