Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt.General HH Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has given directives to set up an annual award for the best scientific research by employees of the Interior Ministry, both retired and working.
The award will be launched in January 2010.
Secretary General at the Office of the Deputy PM Maj.General Nasser Al Nuaimi said that the award will cover scientific researches in all fields including police science and legal, administrative and technical fields.
The award aims to harness the knowledge potential and expertise of the employees at the ministry as the latest figures show that there are over 300 Emiratis holding higher university certificates and filling various positions of the ministry.
The initiative will also honour the retired officers who worked for the ministry with dedication and self-giving.
’Their contribution can not be forgotten and their role will not end just by retirement’, said Maj.General Al Nuaimi.
