Hudayriyat Adventure, the fun filled obstacle course  brought by The Department of Community Development, and part of the Abu Dhabi Moments initiative successfully concluded on Saturday 14 December, and had attracted more than 4,000 visitors. The event was held over two days, and hosted an obstacle course and sports activities that catered to various members of the community, adults, juniors, PODs and wheelchair abled individuals.

The uniquely designed courses included three entry-level options suitable for all including people of determination; a 3 km adults’ course, a 500-metre junior course for kids aged 6-9 years old and 1KM junior course of for 10-14 years old. In addition to that, a 30-metre wheelchair course was also available to ensure the challenges were suitable for all capabilities. 

The event was an exhilarating and fun-filled morning, aimed to bring together the Abu Dhabi community in an exciting and active environment, which saw participants climb, crawl, hang and swing across numerous obstacles.

The highlight of this event is the presence of a variety of activities that suit all members of the family and aims to increase their fitness levels. Digital Influencer, Hamad Al Shamsi (@5a6a2) said “I’m not a morning guy, but this event really encouraged me to do more morning activities in the future and boost my fitness level. It was super fun and I got to make new friends from different nationalities. I would like to thank the Department of Community Development for organising this event and I look forward to attending further events over the next weeks”.

Abu Dhabi Moments, an initiative by the Department of Community Development and part of the Abu Dhabi Accelerated Development Programme ‘Ghadan 21’, aims to promote inclusion and build a strong sense of community through a range of activities and community events, bringing individuals and families together to create unforgettable experiences that celebrate all members of the society across five Abu Dhabi districts.
