The Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi announced today that it has embarked upon the implementation of a system to counter violations and ensure control of trade practices in the emirate.

This includes the setting up of the department as per the law No. 2/ 2009 to be issued in next October.

At a press conference, the Department officials also announced the control measures and awareness creation programme to be implemented during the holy month of Ramadan.

The law setting up the department aims at creating an ideal economic environment for all consumers and investors in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
