In the presence of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Department of Transport, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Abu Dhabi Airports, Etihad Airways, General Administration of Customs, Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and Abu Dhabi Police.
The signing ceremony was also attended by H.E. Major General Staff Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, Major General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director General of Security and Ports Affairs Sector, H.E. Jassim Mohammed Buatabh Al Zaabi, Chairman of The Department of Finance, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Airports and H.E. Hamad Al Shamsi, Member of Board of Directors of Etihad Airways.
The Memorandum of Cooperation to Enhance the Quality of Services was signed by H.E. Major General Maktoum Ali Al Sharifi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police, H.E. Rashed bin Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General of the General Administration of Customs, H.E Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Acting Director General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports at Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Mohammad Al Bulooki, Chief Operating Officer in Etihad Airways, Bryan Thompson, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports.
H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan assured that it is important for the stakeholders to cooperate and coordinate together to reach the integration of services that will consequently improve the development of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in different fields.
The signing of the Memorandum is part of the efforts dedicated to enhance the traveling experience and represent the cooperation and integration of services offered in all facilities at the airport. The Memorandum aims to facilitate the traveling procedures and reduce the time required to complete traveling transactions. It also aims to offer high quality services to the passengers upon arriving to the airport, customs declaration, baggage, smart gates and other services to finally boarding the plane.
Additionally, the level of efficiency of the operations at the Airport will be increased according to the agreement that follows the development of Abu Dhabi Airports, and the Emirate.
It is worth to mention that the agreement is based on the international practices in the aviation field. All parties will cooperate according to key performance indicators to measure the level of offered services and results assessment.
