Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company Generates Global Momentum For Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2019
(21 April 2019)
International interest in participating in the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2019

To further enhance international participation for the upcoming edition of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS 2019), the team at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) participates in two key events in the international boat and fishing show calendar in Japan and the United States.

ADIBS 2019 is set to run at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from 16 to 19 October 2019.Through its participation in high-caliber international events, ADNEC also aims to enhance partnerships between industry professionals from the UAE and countries across the world, while welcoming new businesses and exhibitors to the UAE.

In February 2019, ADNEC representatives attended the Fishing Show Osaka 2019 organized by Osaka Fishing Tackle Cooperative Association. The three-day event gives the representatives a unique opportunity to raise awareness about ADIBS and build relationships with industry professionals. Drawing the participation of a total of 156 exhibitors and a whooping 59,636 visitors, the Fishing Show Osaka 2019 promoted information-sharing among traders and users who exhibited a wide range of products and services relevant to the fishing industry. The show also aimed to improve fishing methods and techniques, while promoting the importance of environment preservation and educating visitors about the culture of fishing.

In addition, ADNEC delegates attended the highly-acclaimed Miami Boat Show (MBS) and the Miami Yacht Show (MYS), which took place simultaneously in different locations from 14 to 18 February 2019. Jointly organized by Informa Exhibitions and National Marine Manufacturers Association, the largest marine event in the world showcased more than 2,000 sail boats and motor yachts, and witnessed the participation of several European, American and Asian shipyards.

Saeed Al Mansoori, Executive Director, IDEX LLC at ADNEC , pointed out that participating in international shows with industry professionals is a critical component in delivering another successful and impressive edition of ADIBS in the UAE capital this year.

"This approach supports the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, which seeks to develop non-oil sectors, such as the leisure marine industry.

Organized by ADNEC, ADIBS 2018 saw regional and international visitors, as well as leisure marine industry professionals, stakeholders and families coming together to view state-of-the-art luxury yachts, fishing boats and marine accessories. The four-day show, which was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, witnessed the 31,000-square-meter ADNEC marina come to life and welcomed more than 270 exhibitors from 25 countries from across the Region, Europe and America.

The 2019 edition of the much-anticipated boat show will provide a unique platform for local and international exhibitors to showcase their latest range of products and services to a discerning audience, as well as high net-worth individuals, while displaying breathing-taking luxury yachts , leisure marine equipment, traditional fishing boats, dhows and abras, amongst other attractions.

ADIBS 2019 will also host a number of on-water activities for attendees to participate in, along with training and preparatory sessions on various aspects related to water activities, including sailing and fishing.

ADIBS, which underscores Abu Dhabi's growing marine tourism potential, provides an exclusive and golden opportunity for industry professionals, while promoting the UAE capital as a global hub for the leisure marine industry.
