The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has led a delegation of the emirate’s leading tourism stakeholders on a promotional roadshow to several cities in Saudi Arabia.
The roadshow, organised in collaboration with Yas Island (Experience Hub), took place in various hotels, where it welcomed travel trade representatives. Numerous companies from the UAE’s travel and tourism sector were part of the touring delegation, including Al Ain Zoo, Al Raha Beach Hotel, Etihad Airways, Expo 2020, Jannah Hotels & Resorts, LouvreAbu Dhabi, Novotel & IBIS, and Rixos Saadiyat Island.
The stops on the roadshow allowed the travel trade to explore Abu Dhabi’s extensive leisure offerings and opportunities, giving them a better understanding of the diverse cultural and touristic assets the capital has to offer, and underlining its appeal as the perfect entertainment destination for families and children.
“DCT Abu Dhabi’s tourism roadshow in Saudi Arabia was a vital event for our delegation to establish new industry connections, in order to welcome greater numbers of tourists into Abu Dhabi,” said Nabeel M. Al Zarouni, Middle East & Africa Regions Manager at DCT Abu Dhabi’s Travel Trade and Market Development Department. “Directly engaging with the local businesses and the tourism community within Saudi Arabia helped showcase the rich tourism assets the UAE has to offer. Undertaking such a roadshow allowed us to directly connect with like-minded organisations and meet with other industry leaders to exchange knowledge and experience and to promote Abu Dhabi to one of our key markets.”
