A World Bank delegation has been posted on the mechanism of work developed by the Department of Economic Development- Abu Dhabi in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Competitiveness Office to prepare the Doing Business Report 2019.

This came as the delegation visited the DED premises today as part of their mission to conduct regional business reports on 190 cities all over the world.

"The advanced ranking now boasted by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi across global competitiveness indices translates Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 and proves that the UAE citizen is the centerpiece of the emirate's holistic development drive," said Khalifa bin Salem Al Mansouri, DED Under-Secretary .

"The government of Abu Dhabi is progressing steadily toward realising its strategic objectives, continuing to secure advanced rankings across regional and global competitiveness indices, and inculcating the culture of innovation among different segments of society," he added.

Al Mansouri was briefed on the outcome of the meetings held by the World Bank team with a number of state departments in the Emirate to prepare the Doing Business Report 2019, which identifies the weaknesses and strengths of each department.
