The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, DCT Abu Dhabi, has been named as the best government entity in the emirate for the provision of ‘Smart Services’ by Abu Dhabi’s Smart Solutions and Services Authority, ADSSSA.
The Institutional Maturity Index, which is rated by ADSSSA, assessed 24 of DCT Abu Dhabi’s Smart Services, with DCT Abu Dhabi’s Innovation and Smart Technologies Department scoring record maturity levels, topping 37 other government entities in Abu Dhabi.
Representing DCT Abu Dhabi, Nawal Rashid Al Hassani, Executive Director of Strategy and Planning Sector, received the award during a ceremony organised by ADSSSA.
Commenting on the announcement, Saif Saeed Ghobash, Under-Secretary of DCT Abu Dhabi, said, "We are proud of this latest achievement, which exemplifies our determination to further the provision of world-class services and excellence in our mission to promote Abu Dhabi as a highly-advanced destination. Available around the clock, our smart services have helped to streamline DCT’s application processing operations and elevate customer satisfaction, offering transparency and easy access for customers to contact us via their smart phones at any place and time.
"Striving to improve our online services and make them part of our daily operations, we have launched a number of important initiatives to develop our service system locally and globally, thus accelerating the realisation of our vision and strategy," he added.
ADSSSA conducted its performance assessment according to the Institutional Maturity Framework for Online Services. This cutting-edge system enables ADSSSA to identify the actual capabilities of institutions in accurately managing and implementing the national digital transformation strategy. It also facilitates identifying potential areas of improvement, which contribute to driving digital maturity and enhances an institution’s ability to provide the best quality of highly efficient online services.
