Abu Dhabi Art has announced the third in its series of gallery exhibitions in Abu Dhabi presenting contemporary artworks for sale. As part of its year-round public programming, the latest iteration will once again be presented at Warehouse421 in Mina Zayed and will feature a collaboration with Dubai-based Cuadro Fine Art Gallery. Presenting works by Lebanese artist Camille Zacharia, the exhibition will run from 8th to 30th September, and will focus on the artist’s photographic collages.
Zacharia’s works are a reflection of his journey away from his native land, and his attempt to find harmony within the boundaries of the places he calls home. Using photography, photomontage, and collage, Zacharia focuses on identity and displacement, reflecting his own life journey; he sees collage as a means of expressing a fragmented identity and for reassembling memories.
Dyala Nusseibeh, Abu Dhabi Art Director, said, "Our extended gallery exhibitions programme in Abu Dhabi aligns with the fair’s efforts to offer Abu Dhabi residents diverse opportunities to view works by both emerging and established artists throughout the year. We are proud to partner with Cuadro Fine Art Gallery for this solo exhibition of artworks by Camille Zacharia; his compelling work and innovative use of medium offer a new perspective on the topic of identity."
Faisal Al Hassan, Manager at Warehouse421, said, "In our continuous efforts to support the creative ecosystem, we are delighted to host this third edition of Abu Dhabi Art’s gallery exhibitions at Warehouse421. Offering Abu Dhabi residents the opportunity to view and purchase works by the Lebanese photographer Camille Zakharia, the exhibition complements our mission to offer enriching insights into Arab art while providing Cuadro with another platform to showcase its artworks to new art collectors."
