The United Arab Emirates has scaled the heights of distinction thanks to the dedication of the country's female elements and their significant contributions to the nation's developmental drive across the years, said Dr. Ali bin Tamim as Director-General of Abu Dhabi Media Company.
"Emirati women have always been in the forefront side by side with their male peers in serving the homeland, and managed to assume top leading positions, proving their worth as a source of pride and admiration across the region and the entire world," Dr. bin Tamim said in a word marking the Emirati Women's Day observed on August 28th every year.
"UAE women have always been pursuing the path laid down by late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who has been a staunch supporter for their talent and ability to achieve their goals and carve out a befitting position in society," he added.
"The UAE leadership under President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, along with Their Highnesses, the Rulers of the Emirates, have followed in the footsteps of the Founding Father in supporting women and providing them with all the tools that empower and enable them to efficiently contribute to the development drive," he added.
Dr. Bin Tamim extended his sincere thanks and congratulations to the H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), the Mother of the Nation, for her colossal support and pioneering vision in strengthening the role played by women in the UAE society.
