Japan imported from the UAE 19.149 million barrels of crude oil in May 2018, data released on Friday by the Agency of Energy and Natural Resource in Tokyo showed.

This accounts for 20.7 percent of Japan's total crude imports, the agency that belongs to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, said.

Japan’s total crude oil imports in that month amounted to 92.401 million barrels, the agency said.
