A conference presenting the mechanisms of developing the human component in facing the challenges of wars in the 21st Century will kick-off in the nation's capital on Monday.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Defence, the 'Developing the Human Component to meet the Challenges of the 21st Century Wars Conference', will be held at the Armed Forces Officers Club. It also aims to establish strategic partnerships with research centres that specialise in security and defence.
The conference will be attended by leading experts, including Dr. Salem Humaid, President of the Al Mizmat Centre for Studies and Research, Dr. Nathan Torinto, Participating Professor of Strategic and Security Studies at the UAE National Defence College, and Fahad Al Muhairi, Executive Director of Business Development at the Emirates Military Industries Company.
Experts will present several research papers on topics related to the effects of emerging wars on communities, with a focus on national security, as well as the impact of artificial intelligence, automation, demographics, new forms of warfare, and the manpower challenges facing the national defence industry.
