Abu Dhabi Municipality To Complete AED118 Million Infrastructure Project In Q2
(28 April 2018)

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) has nearly completed the Roads and Infrastructure Project of District 25 at Al Maqta South.

The project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2018 in cooperation with Musanada, at a cost of more than AED118 million, according to an ADM press release Saturday.

The development includes the construction of roads and infrastructure to serve residential land plots on both sides of Al Maqta Canal for 66 new residential units. It also includes the construction of dual carriageways extending 1.7 km, a single carriageway stretching 1.25 km, and providing water, electricity, communications and sanitation services for all residential units. In addition, the project includes undertaking all construction works such as street lighting, road signs, and maritime protection through landfills using rocky materials on both sides of the Canal at the back of the reclaimed residential land plots of the project.

The implementation of such vital projects with the strategic partners comes in line with the commitment of the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities to providing advanced infrastructure at international standards along with safe and efficient roads conforming to the development witnessed by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi at all levels. It is also inconsistent with the keenness to meet the needs of the residents in a way that enhance the quality of life and Abu Dhabi’s reputation regionally and globally.

ADM is continuing to construct an infrastructure envisioned in Abu Dhabi Master Development Plan to provide services capable of keeping abreast of the urban, demographic and economic development.

The project, which covers more than 111,000 square meters, aims to improve the infrastructure of District 25 at Al Maqta South as part of comprehensive projects aimed at upgrading the infrastructure of Abu Dhabi city and suburban areas.
