Capital Health, a newly formed private integrated healthcare group, opened its first multi-specialty healthcare facility, Health Shield Medical Center, in Abu Dhabi today. Located in the Ministries Complex area of the capital, the medical center will provide local residents and medical tourists access to world-class technologies, treatments and expertise from leading medical professionals.
The two-floor facility, boasting 125 staff and 18 internationally-certified doctors,
offers healthcare services for the whole family, across 12 specialties including dentistry, cardiology, rheumatology, pulmonology, pediatrics, dermatology, ENT and physical and rehabilitation medicine, amongst others.
Delivering the finest levels of specialist consultations, diagnostic tests, treatment, one-day surgery and recovery support, Health Shield Medical Center, at full capacity, will provide up to 350 people per day with healthcare services including one-day surgeries in its two ultra-modern operating theaters.
With more US-board certified doctors than any other facility in Abu Dhabi, distinguished clinical talent joining the facility include the double American board certified and Harvard honors graduate, Dr. Michael Kelley, Internal Medicine Consultant and Pediatrics Consultant, and Dr. Irena Khostanteen, who is one of only two specialized Rheumatology Consultants in Abu Dhabi.
