Egyptian superstar singer Angham appears on a special episode of ‘Nashwa’ this week in which she sings a selection of her songs as well as those of the renowned singers Um Kulthoum and Warda. ‘Nashwa’ is aired on Dubai TV every Monday at 22:30 and repeated every Saturday at 18:00. Angham also reveals her love for Lebanese singer Fairuz and the secrets surrounding rumours about her. Getting more personal with Nashwa Al Ruwaini, Angham speaks of her personal stand against her father and the reasons she has refused to let her young sister sing.
She also speaks with passion about her close relationship with her mother and her uncle, the artist Abdel Haleem as well as her children, who she takes care to raise with proper Arab values.
Accompanying the audience into her private world, Angham takes them on a tour of her villa on the outskirts of Cairo which houses a studio made especially for her as a haven of music and art.
The program concludes by welcoming her close friend and the director of most of her video clips, Ahmed Al Mahdi, to talk about the intimate details that go on behind the set.
