In recognition of UAE Team Emirates’ outstanding sporting achievements in races around the world, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) – the UAE's largest bank and one of the world's largest and safest financial institutions – recently hosted an event to honour the Emirati pro cycling team at the bank’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The event was attended by FAB Group CEO, Abdulhamid Saeed, as well as senior management and staff.
Abdulhamid Saeed presented medals to each member of the team, including Emirati cyclist, Yousif Mirza, as well as Alexander Kristoff, Matteo Bono, Filippo Ganna, Sven Erik Bystrom, Anass Ait El Abdia, and Simone Consonni. UAE Team Emirates presented FAB’s Group CEO with a custom-made Colnago bicycle — one of only 46 UAE-exclusive edition bicycles.
Commenting during the event, FAB’s Group CEO, said: “Supporting the UAE sports sector is a top priority at FAB, as part of our efforts to contribute to the UAE’s Vision 2021 objectives to enhance the nation’s sporting achievements, particularly at international events, and embed a strong sports culture throughout the community.
