Now on its fifth year, the annual Bob Marley Festival is back on February 9, 2018. One of the reggae legend's son Ky-Mani Marley will be performing at Yas Beach, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
Paying tribute to the Jamaican legend who would have been 73 years old this year, the celebration of music and art will carry Bob Marley's ideals introducing them to the present generation. Grammy nominated musician Ky-Mani is following his father's footsteps in taking the world by storm with his talents. Joining him on the stage to pay homeage is Reanno Devon Gordon a.k.a. Busy Signal, a Jamaican dancehall reggae artist, who ruled charts and had done collaborations with No Doubt, Major Lazer, and many more.
Gates will open at 3pm for reggae fans to enjoy a themed décor full of memorabilia while listening to funky reggae beats. The tropical scene will take the guests to the Caribbean while being served authentic Jamaican dishes by local food trucks. Guests can also shop handmade creations by local talents.
The 5th annual Bob Marley Festival, open to adults above 21 years old, is supported by Miral, Turkish Airlines, Radio 1, and Radisson Blu Hotel, Abu Dhabi Yas Island. Early bird tickets cost AED 125 at Virgin Megastore and UAE Exchange retail outlets, and online at Virgin and Platinum List. The first 100 tickets can be purchased at AED73 instead of AED125.
